A regular boiler service is an opportunity to check safe operation, inspect key components and spot signs that deserve attention.
A regular boiler service is an opportunity to check safe operation, inspect key components and spot signs that deserve attention. We take the time to carry out the appropriate checks and explain the findings clearly.
If something needs attention, you will be shown what has been found and given practical, no-obligation advice. The goal is to help you make an informed decision — not to turn a routine service into a sales pitch.
Why annual servicing matters
Annual servicing is a small, planned cost that can deliver value over time by supporting efficient operation, protecting an applicable manufacturer warranty and finding developing faults before they become more expensive breakdowns.
- Helps maintain a manufacturer warranty where annual servicing is a condition
- Checks that key safety devices and combustion performance are operating correctly
- Cleans and checks relevant internal components to support efficient operation and reduce avoidable gas use
- Can identify wear, leaks or developing faults before they become a breakdown
- Creates a useful service history for the appliance
- Provides clear advice on any model-specific maintenance that may be due
Some manufacturers specify or recommend a more detailed strip-down service at intervals—often around three to five years—depending on the boiler model, condition and service history. Where relevant, we will explain what the manufacturer calls for and why, including replacement of seals needed to keep products of combustion safely contained.
Typical reasons customers get in touch
- Service overdue or history unknown
- Unusual boiler noise or smell
- Intermittent hot water or heating
- Pressure regularly dropping
- Boiler showing a warning or fault code
- Manufacturer warranty service due
Clear answers before you decide.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
An annual service is a sensible routine for most domestic boilers and may be required to maintain some manufacturer warranties. We will follow the boiler manufacturer’s requirements and explain anything relevant to your appliance.
What is included in the first-service £99 offer?
This offer is for new customers of Rich Heating and covers a standard annual boiler service within our West London service area. We hope you will be happy with our work; if you choose to use us again, future services are currently charged at the £120 standard service rate.
How long will the service take?
The time depends on the boiler, its condition and accessibility. We do not want to rush a safety-focused job simply to meet an arbitrary timeslot.
Will you tell me if a repair is needed?
Yes. We will explain what has been found, how urgent it is and the available options. Any further work is discussed separately and is not automatic.
